      Apprenticeships and Internships

      Our Apprentice Program -

Currently there is an opening for one apprentice! Applications are due February 1, 2010.

We are seeking excited and hard-working college graduates in theatre interested in launching their professional career. We offer students an opportunity to apply what they have learned in the classroom through hands-on experience at a nationally respected, professional Equity theatre. Through this comprehensive apprenticeship each student will gain practical, real-world experience in arts management and production, important contacts in the professional theatre community and a significant resume credit.

Performance Network will select three students for the year long Theater Apprenticeship Program beginning in February 2010 and running through February 2011. The program is designed for individuals who are interested in launching a career in Arts Management, Marketing, Fundraising and Development, Theatrical Design, Technical Direction, or Stage Management.

Apprentices are selected by application and interview. Applications are available in PDF format. Apprentices work between 40-72 hours per week. As these apprenticeships are full-time positions, Performance Network provides a $300 weekly stipend to defray living costs.

For more information about Performance Network Apprenticeships, please contact Carla Milarch.

      Summer Internships -

High School students gain a comprehensive experience of all elements of professional theatre, including box office, house management, technical and clerical skills.
